Her first highly acclaimed contemporary romance novel, The Fixer-Uppers, was followed closely by Country Boy, City Girl. Her contemporary romantic-comedy, Beautiful Dreamer garnered great reviews. Another romantic-comedy, Scrambled Eggs and a chick-lit romance Seven Ways to Seduce a Martian followed soon after. Her latest release is a love story set in the Texas Hill Country, Preachin' to the Choir.

Upcoming books include a screwball fantasy romance, Loving Who, and erotic fiction written under the pen name Celine Chatillon.

Cindy's non-fiction titles and first children's book, The Best Christmas Gift, are featured on the Cindy Appel web site.

Cindy is a past president of the Missouri Chapter of the Romance Writers of America and a long-time member of the Darkstormy Writers Group. She also belongs to EPIC and the Romance Writers of America and has written numerous articles about crafting and submitting manuscripts.

In her spare time, Cindy sings with the Sweet Adelines International championship chorus, The River Blenders, and in the festival choir at church. She enjoys tutoring English-as-a-Second-Language students so eventually they'll be able to read her books.

Known for her outrageous sense of humor and her quick smile, Cindy is happiest when hiding behind her computer terminal typing her heart out and avoiding telephone sales pitches.
